Work Groups & Committees
Committees exist to implement citywide goals and strategies. All Community Partnership work group participants are volunteers who see value in the work and want to be involved. Committee meetings are open to the public. Below is a list our committees, their work focus, meeting times and contact people. We welcome you to find the best fit for you and GET INVOLVED!
Family Child Care Committee:
Convenes family child care educators in the city of Boston around issues and best practices that are relevant to running quality programs in homes.

Grants Management Committee:
Provides oversight and management of all business, evaluation and financial functions of the partnership.

School Readiness & Transition Committee:
Exists to develop and implement strategies that will provide support and information to families with children transitioning between and among early education and care settings, home and school.

Quality & Resources Commmittee:
Works to implement strategies improve the quality of all early childhood settings in the city of Boston. This is accomplished through sub-committees of Accreditation/CDA and Professional Development which are focused on the Ready Educator strategies developed in the Thrive in 5 roadmap. Currently priorities include seeking funding and support for universal accreditation and working with the Regional Professional Development Collaborative to improve professional development opportunities for educators.

At-Risk Committee:
Brings together agencies that serve at-risk children and their families. The committee develops and distributes resources for families and providers of children needing special support services.

Membership & Events Committee:
Builds the membership of Boston Community Partnerships for Children through outreach and recruitment. The committee members also coordinate membership meetings and other events over the course of each year.
