Special Needs Panel – January 12th, 2012
A free panel discussion for families with children, adolescents and young adults who have special needs or disabilities.
LOCATION: Boys and Girls Clubs of Dorchester – 1135 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester MA
TIME: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Please note that Dr. Bill Henderson will also be joining our panel…. (he will also be available for a book signing for his newly released book, The Blind Advantage)
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to register a child/family member with North Star. North Star is run by the Boston Police Department and is a free and voluntary program for parents, guardians or care takers of children and individuals that may have a tendency to wander or are a flight risk from a specific location (home, school etc).

We salute Linda Evers Nelson, our Family Child Care Committee Chair person and Maureen “Mimi” Largey (our former committee co-chair) for the article written in the West Roxbury Patch community newspaper. The article highlights their daily visit to the train station with the children in their family child care programs. “For five years, three long-standing West Roxbury childcare businesses have, as the focal part of their days, brought the kids out to wave to the commuter rail trains as they head into and out of the City at the Highland stop.” To read the full article click here.

Annual Meeting and Board Elections 6/9/11
